Boeing 777x

Boeing 777x Introductory video

Boeing 777x Wing

The 777 series has been all time favorite of Boeing. It was the plane which had saved Boeing from crisis in the past.
Boeing is Launching 777x which is a new series of aircraft planned to be in service from 2020. It has got 2 variants of the aircraft i.e 777-8x & 777-9x.

This plane will get an revolution in the way of flying due to its stable structure, less noise engines, intelligent ceiling, electronic windows(same as 787). Currently there is no plane in competition to this one.

It has currently got 306 pre-release orders which is a huge number for an aircraft which has not yet been released in physical.

The wing span of this aircraft is 235 feet including 12ft fold-able wing tips to be able to use the existing airport gates.

The cabin is wider than the previously existing aircraft. Its a unique design in aviation history.

If you look at the wing its purely like a glider. There was a study done on birds like eagle and albatross which are very agile & also glide in air and based on their wings the wing of 777x has been designed. Glider type planes are more stable.

The complete body is set to be made from composite material which will give flexibility and will also reduce the weight of the plane thereby allowing it to carry more people & luggage.

The curved Wing tips help in cancellation of vortex.
